Ok so basically to avoid any incidents we have to wear no "danglies" closed hard shoes no show of legs no sleeves no jewlery and you hair has to be up... HELP! I have no idea what a cute outfit would look like for metal!

I think you should worry more about being safe than being cute... Leggings will rip and any metal or sharp objects that gets near them will end up hurting you - so I think you need to wear jeans and a shirt that you don't care about getting dirty (because you most likely will get dirty) you should probably wear steel toed boots as well to protect your feet - I used to work for a window manufacturing company and the girls on the line did not dress cute because they dressed for safety - and I'm sorry but that's more important than dressing cute - when I'm in the lab working with chemicals I'm not worried about being cute - I'm worried about being safe and making sure my clothes are disposable because if I spill acid or a base or anything on them then my life won't be at risk and I won't care about ruining those clothes.

With that said you could go retro like this otherwise I'll find some practical looks that you could try to make cute.

Yeah diana is right. when it comes to work of that kind safety is a lot more inportant than 'looking cute'. I use a lot of machinery at work and need to follow health and safety guidelines to the letter. I definitely recomend you do the same before you get hurt.

Safety first! Make sure all the clothing is 100% cotton, so a pair of jeans and a long sleeve cotton shirt should be enough, a braided bun always looks pretty. I'm a mechanical engineer and I can tell you that nobody cares about looks but about being safe, you can get injured so always follow the instructions.

I wouldn't worry about looking cute at all lol. Your first priority is safety.

Honestly when I was in metal shop class, everyone was too busy working on their projects to notice anyone's outfits or hair, especially since you end up wearing glasses, gloves, etc.anyways lol. I would wear thick stuff so nothing cuts through it, and nothing new so it doesn't get ruined, I'd go with simple skinny jeans and a cute comfy tshirt or tank top, and a hoodie or cardigan :)
