In June I'm going to Norway for two weeks to do a roadtrip/ camping thing across the country. We will be stopping off at Bergen and Oslo to do some "city break" type stuff in a hotel but mostly we'll be living out of a camper van. I've never done anything like this before so I'd love some ideas about what I should be taking clothing and beauty wise.

Any advice guys? What should I be packing for a trip like this?

Well Scandinavian isn't really that warm in June, so I would definitely pack some warm cardigans to put over your tops and t-shirts on the days were it wouldn't be so warm. As for makeup just pack what you use on a daily basis, it doesn't take up much room in the camper :)

Thanks Sabrina. I've been to Norway before in August and I don't remember getting out my shorts then to be honest :P I have to fly out there to meet the camper though. My boyfriend's driving it out there.

Any tips on trying to keep my packing light? Or do you think I'm better off loading the camper with a few bits before hand to keep my plane luggage to a minimum?

Lucky :) I live in Denmark, right next to Norway and the weather can be amazing, but I find that it's good to have a sweater for the days where it's not warm!

If it's a possibility I would definitely put what you can in the camper so you don't have to bring a lot on the plane!

Maybe if your going out to dinner you could take some roll on eyeshadows because they are really easy to fit in compartments and lightweight.

I'll pop any bulky things in the van before he sets off then. I'm not using jumpers and cardigans much at the moment (It's mostly good weather here in the UK at the moment and my office at work's boiling :P) I'll just carry all the light things then, haha.

And thanks for the advice Scarlet but I don't think I've ever seen roll on eyeshadows. Do you know what brands/ stores carry them?

Beauty - take makeup removing wipes and the essentials like a bb cream/tinted moisturizer to be your coverage/moisture/SPF all in one, some waterproof mascara and your favorite lipstick shade/balm stain - also try and travel size your skin care as well - if you can't buy travel size versions just buy a travel case with empty bottles to fill.
