Products you splurge on! Products you don't...

I asked this last week but didn't get any answers. I'm very curious! I'm going to limit it to makeup this time, though.

The question: what products do you splurge on? And what products do you go drugstore? Is there any reason you save on some and splurge on others? And what are some of your favorite brands?

Me:

I splurge on eye shadows (Urban Decay and Too Faced), eyeshadow primers, brushes (not splurge, but I buy the midrange ones at Ulta and Sephora), BB creams (UD Naked), and illuminating powder (UD Naked). I'm picky about these and I I notice the difference between drugstore and the ones at Ulta.

I save on makeup remover, mascara (I love maybelline), lip products (maybelline), and tinted moisturizer (Neutrogena). I go through mascara so fast I just can't justify spending a lot--plus maybelline has worked well for me. I like the low maintenance-ness of baby lips a color whisper, plus I can buy a ton of colors for cheap--so I've never ventured into anything more expensive.

What about you beauties?

I splurge on foundation, eyeshadow, and a few face products like my toner. I feel like higher end works better with those. Products I don't splurge on would be mascara, eyeliner and face wash. :)

Splurge: eyeshadow, pencil eyeliner, brow products, primer, blush bronzers highlightera, etc
Save: liquid eyeliner, mascara, translucent powder, lip liner, and whatever I like lol
Half half: foundation, lipstick, lipgloss, etc

I don't like splurging on stuff I go through quickly, but I like quality!

I agree, there is a noticeable difference between Drugstore foundations and High end. They typically use higher quality ingredients, which makes a whole difference and steer away from Harsh ingredients. They are more gentle on the skin which shows. Products I always splurge on are;
1.Foundation
Miami's hot and humid weather is unforgiving (hit an all time high today of 99 degrees out with hunidity). So there's no room to be messing around here especially in the spring/summer time. Plus the rainy season coming in.. so unforgiving.

Eyeliners
Same reason as above. No need to look like a racoon and so many brands offer bundles now with their eyeliners. My die hard love is Inglot, which is affordable at $12.00 plus double the amount of product then what maybelline has.

Eyeshadow
You can't beat quality eyeshadow, especially if you're into wearing eyeshadows. The frustration of it disappearing or creasing isn't worth it.

Skincare: Splurge all the way. You only have one face, I believe in treating my skin like the million dollar diamond it is.

Mascara/Lippies I can do with saving, they don't bother me. I do occassionally splurge but I'm more of an eyeshadow gal so I don't go nuts with lippies.

Extra face products such as bronzer, highlighter, etc.I tend to splurge on.

I generally splurge on face products more since I do care for my skin, not too much lippies and mascara.

All of it, but I always try it before I buy, I have about 6 foundations 5 bronzer 6 concealer but they all get used all premium brands, it's my face I spend about £120 a month($180) I'd rather that then buy a new top that's in fashion.

Save on remover, toner, brows, CC cream and lip stains. I make my own body scrubs which saves loads.

Splurge on Lipsticks, eyeshadow, foundation, blush, concealer, hiliters, skin care

save on mascarra, lipliner, eye primer (Milani is my fav), bronzer since I don't use it that often.

I'll admit it, I like expensive make up. it just makes me feel fancy.

I splurge on foundations most of the time however I'm loving loreal pro matte as of late. I also splurge on primer, mascara, eyeshadows, blush, bronzer and lipstick.

I save on bb cream, powder, lipliners, lipgloss.

For eyebrow products I've only ever tried one high end and I do like it but lately I've bought an eyelure pencil which is becoming a favourite so ill probably stick to that.

Splurge
*skincare.. every bit of it.
*foundation. I do own 2 drugstore bottles that I bought to try out and thought I'd use for running errands or less important days and I definitely see a difference and why I prefer high end but I still use them sometimes
*eyeshadow imo nothing compares.
*brow products
*lip products. I have some nyx lip products that I use, and I own some other drugstore brands but honestly have probably used once. the staying power, pigmentation and color choices just never impress me for drugstore
*eyeliner
*mascara
*primer for eyes face and lips
*highlighter
*bronzers

save
I'm realizing I don't really buy drugstore anything lol anything I do own from the drugstore I don't use
*Lipliners I do like nyx
*concealer. I don't use concealer for under eye circles or blemishes because I don't have any, but I do like the la girl pro concealers for cream highlight and contouring
*powder. this goes both ways, I use ben nye powders and to me they're really inexpensive, but I also use mufe HD powder. I don't really need powder for my skin type so I don't use it very often
