What are the right brushes for highlighting and contouring?

Highlighting on the high points of your cheeks or underneath your eyes?
for my eyes I just use my beauty blender.
for contouring I use a big tapered brush

For high points of your cheeks highlight, you can use a fan brush or just your fingers.

But can I use those same brushes for powder or just for cream? or can I use them for both or?

For contouring with cream, a duo fiber (stipple) brush would work really well.
that's what I use to use.
