Whenever I put makeup on in the morning for school it somehow always wears off and my face becomes red and it just doesn't look good. How can I keep it on and looking refreshed throughout my day?

Use a primer and a setting spray.

Proper skin prep before hand (Cleanse, tone, moisturizer).
A primer can help the longevity of your make up.. I'd check out hourglass. You only need a little, and the travel size can last you months. ( Lasted me about 5 months)
A setting powder will do you better than a spray... RCMA's no color setting powder is incredibly budget friendly and contains a generous amount of product. Stuff makes your make up budge proof all day.
I'd bring a compact for touch ups... school is 8 hours so foundation is bound to change somehow.

Wait 5-10 minutes after you apply moisturiser to apply primer then foundation. Once the moisturiser sinks in, the makeup will stick to the face better instead of sliding off.

Yeah I have that problem too! I'd say a setting spray and a primer!
