I have difficulty swallowing tablets, I have tried swallowing and I have to cut into small pieces. I also have to drink tons of water before I can swallow. This is ridiculous :/
Btw, I live in the UK

Eat lots of jello! Gelatin is great for your nails. As for hair, here are some things you can eat to help:
salmon = shine
greek yogurt = growth
spinach = anti-brittle
guava = prevents breakage
poultry = thickness
sweet potatoes = fights dullness

I second the sweet potato, it is used a lot in dogs to give them shiny hair and it works!

You could try crushing them and sprinkle on food or drinks.

It's not dangerous to crush tablets, especially something like vitamins. but if it is coated to be an "extended release" tablet then it will no longer be extended release once crushed.

Lama K it can be dangerous as some tablets when crushed have a high dosage.

Thank you Liz, it's a shame they don't sell them where I live. I've decided to take just normal vitamins and hope they work miracles on my nails.

I got some chewable ones at Target. They're gummies. I've also gotten them at CVS and Walgreens. I'm in the US though. Maybe you can get them online. I agree that some medications cannot be crushed as it is dangerous, but I'm not sure that's true for vitamins. I doubt vitamins have an extended release formation. But crushing them is a pain if you can get them some other way.

I know it's not what you are asking but have you tried OPI Nail Envy? Maybe that kind of treatment can help you too. It would help to know what's the problem you are trying to fix.

Kattya I might have to try it and the top layer of my nails are always peeling and chipping.

My daughter used to have a problem swallowing pills until one of her friends told her to put it under her tongue and then take a big swig of water. Apparently, it "magically" flips into your mouth and goes down with the drink! Good luck - hope you find something that works and that you're happy with!
