Any tips on how to maintain blue steel hair color?

I recently dyed my hair a gray/blue and looked amazing at first, but like my stylist warn me it started to fade and yellow was peeking through. Anyone that has this color or something similar? What do you to maintain it? I've been using the purple shampoo and it somewhat helps,

When I had silver hair I would leave my purple shampoo in my hair (on dry hair) for about 15 minutes, sometimes much longer depending on what sort of colour I was looking for.

You just have to keep redying it. I haven't tried it because all of my hair isn't colored but I've heard that putting the dye in your conditioner helps :)

I've heard that if you put some of your hair dye in your conditioner bottle it'll help it last :) I've never tried it since I only dyed half my hair but I think it should work!

The ladies above are right, however this method really only keeps the colour there longer for a couple of days before it'll wash out again, you'll get maybe one or two washes before you'll need to do it again.
