I have recently had some painful hangnails. I live in Utah where the air is quite dry. It has been unseasonably warm so it's not from the cold. Any tips and advice for prevention, causes, or treatment?

Hand cream to keep them moisturized! Try not to use hand sanitizer since the alcohol can dry your hands out.

Definitely keep them moisturized, also you could look into getting a cuticle cream.

I usually soak them in warm water with epsom salt to soften it up, and then cuticle scissors to remove. As for prevention, just try to keep your hands moisturized! I really like burts bees hand lotion! Or hawaiian moon aloe.

I usually just cut them off with nail clippers 😂

I clip mine off, and have been using the hand wax cuticle cream thing from Burts bees

Update: I used this Rose salve I got at bath and body works and it got rid of the pain.
