Yay so happy March 1st, all you Frugal Febbers! Hope you made it through.

I managed to, only just. Today I went to Walgreens and got Rimmel's velvet matte lipstick and a bunch of hair product. I also pulled the trigger on that set of bdellium tools I've had my eye on for so long.

Anyone else do a March 1st beauty haul?

I didn't know that was a "thing" but I guess it works for me... Kinda. I grabbed some skincare items yesterday because I'm almost out: cerave am and pm, vitamin e oil, lush let the good times roll facial cleanser and lush are&b for hair. I think that's about it. I guess I was still in feb but I was busy today lol. I would love to see what the bdellium tools look like.

I'm so excited for the bdellium tools to get here. I can't wait! It's my first ever brush set. I usually buy brushes one at a time, but this set had four brushes I was going to buy anyway, plus a case, for the price of the four brushes.
Lara, I love cereve. I use their skin renewing with retinol serum and it's a really gentle formula. I'm going to be stocking up tomorrow on skin care for spring, sunscreen etc. Get the taste of frugality out of my mouth.

One of the good things about March was that I spent lots of time with makeup that I'd rejected or gotten tired of.

How exciting!! I'm going to LA in may and I'm stocking up on brushes and makeup brands we don't have here. Everything is so expensive and its pretty limited. I have to check bdellium out, I've heard so much:) and same happened to me this month, I discovered sooo much stuff that I had and never used!

I'm originally from North Dakota and we always saw lots of Canadians who'd come down to buy basic drugstore stuff. Even stuff like deodorant and toothpaste was enough cheaper that it was worth a couple of hours in the car, I guess.

I'm going to L.A. in two weeks myself. Hoping to make a stop at Nigel Beauty Emporium in North Hollywood. They carry Inglot and bdellium, ben nye...a bunch of stuff I can only get online.

Yesss! I was trying to keep my no buy up until I graduate in April, but I crashed once BL released Rae Morris Brushes and I already missed out on one of the Limited Edition Chikuhodo sets.
I ended up purchasing

MAC 239 ( Mainly because my CS brush broke so I figured I would go for MAC)

And I will be purchasing some more Rae Morris brushes, maybe when I graduate as a present.

Thanks les, the only reason I got it, was cuz of one picture I saw I fell in love with the look and I just had to have it??, I've never worn dark lipsticks before so we will see how it goes??

Oh Erin, I remember those days. I would walk to the drugstore and buy Wet N Wild eyeshadow with my babysitting money. And maybe a 45 or two. (ask your mom or grandma what that is...)
Lili, what a haul! WOOT. I have so few MAC products, it's kind of sad.

It's part of the Show Off line. They are liquid lipsticks and some of them have a vlevet matte texture. So far I haven't really been able to get it to work. I got the shade Apollo hoping it would be Cashmere-esque, but I can't get a smooth application. I've tried it with and without a primer. Anyway, it's pretty longlasting and doesn't dry my lips horribly like other liquid lippies so that's a plus. Also it doesn't smell toxic like a lot of them.

So many great hauls. I didn't make any big purchase but bioderma comes back in stock today and I'm buying that along with a inglot concealer, RCMA foundation, and RCMA powder. Its not much but it's about $55.

Jenny I don't have much mac products either I'm not a mac girl at all, when I step into a mac store its cuz of collection they have out or something I really really want and can't find no where else or for brushes... The reason I went to mac this time was cuz of nightmoth and diva, please me was a unexpected buy lol.

Just saw your comment Jenny, I haven't used it but I was looking at it because of Jacqueline. It was sold out by the time I had a chance to order everything so I didn't get it this time but when the 3oz is back in stock I will pick it up. I'm not a mua or anything so I didn't need 10oz.

Thanks for the in depth review Jacqueline. I've been using a supposedly no color powder, that lightens too much. It's almost like a highlighting powder. Anyway, I'm nearly out of it and looking for something new. This is helpful.

I really tried to like MAC when I first got into makeup, but I had so many bad retail experiences I kind of gave up. I tend to avoid our MAC store in Minneapolis because it's staffed with total a-holes. Everyone knows this here. All you have to say is MAC store to someone in MN and they will start ranting. It's probably best for my wallet anyway. When I need MAC I go to the counter in a dept. store where they are a little better usually.
