I am a serious clothes hoarder and often buy clothes for no reason and end up not wearing them. I'm 22 and have professional job so I want to start moving my wardrobe towards nice and business casual vs teens.

I'm 22 as well and getting started with a professional job and just went through the same thing. Are you familiar with the idea of a capsule wardrobe? The idea is essentially to have a small and highly curated wardrobe full of pieces you really love. I'd start with an arbitrary number - around 40 is common. Then plan out how many work tops, work bottoms, casual tops and bottoms, dresses, coats, blazers, shoes, etc.you NEED. Then sort out what you already have and love that fits those guidelines. For the rest, go shopping with specific goals in mind (ie a work-appropriate skirt) and go for things that are easily mixed and matched. In general neon colors (except some accessories, when paired with a more neutral outfit), animal/tribal prints, and anything with writing on it is more youthful. I know 40 pieces seems really low, but if lots of things go together and you genuinely love wearing each one you don't really feel like you're repeating outfits too much.

Also, exercise clothing, undergarments, accessories don't count. I can go into detail about what my wardrobe is currently made up of if that'd help!
