What is it about the black specifically that you're struggling with?

Normally when Youtubers and such do looks with sharp edges like that, they're using tape. It's a pretty common tactic, just make sure that you put the tape on your hand first to get rid of some of the tackiness so that it won't hurt when you take it off of your eye.

I'm pretty sure she has a youtube channel and probably has a tutorial on this look. I use sticky notes instead of tape, I find it to be not to sticky but still gives a nice sharp edge (:

Usually I'm okay on the edges. Its the blending with out it fading or going too far inwards that I'm having issues with. :( at first I thought it was the black I was usuing but I've tried a few different brands and it just ends up looking messy. :/ so I think it's just whatever way I'm trying to do it! Lol.
Jayda thanks for the videos!

Hmm, have you tried just using a smaller blending brush? Ordinarily if you're trying to concentrate the color in such a small area a normal sized blending brush won't work right. You could also try a pencil brush for the initial application and then go back over the edge with the purple toned shade to blend it out. or, if you feel like you've applied the black too far inwards, just use the inner shades over top of it and blend like crazy.

Put the smallest amount of moisturizer on your lids before you start applying. It will make blending all your colors together so much easier.

Also start with an all over skin-color base shadow to help blend.

It may bethe order you're doing the shadows. I would do the pinky shadow first, the black second, and then the highlight in the middle, it also may be they way you are blending. For that look try to only blend on the edges of the colors and where they meet. Don't just blend all over. Be very precise about where you put your brush.
