What colour are my under eye circles and product recommendations?

I would say its on the red/purple side.

I don't know whether it's red or purple 😕 I tried laura mercier concealer and Estée Lauder but they just didn't do much to be honest. Hmmm 😕😕

Try using a yellow color corrector then apply your regular skintone concealer over it

I think they are more on the purple side. Use a color corrector and then a concealer on top. I've never used a corrector so I don't have any recommendations but I do love maybelline fit me concealer.

I feel like all concealers give me that kim k look. The bright eyed looked and it just looks horrible! You know any good ones?

What colour corrector do you recommend?

Mar 5, 2015

Les N.

Benefit lemon aid concealer
NARS concealer in pale yellow
Bobbi brown creamy concealer kit

I've heard great things about the bobbi brown concealer kit

Are they all colour correctors? Is my skin tone cool or warm? I have no idea 😕😕

Those are just yellow concealers for the under-eyes to cancel out the purple after that apply your regular skintone concealer

Right so I need to get a yellow corrector? How come people use orange?

Mar 5, 2015

Les N.

Yes since they are purple you use yellow
some might use orange/salmon correctors if they have blue under-eye circles

What is a good regular concealer that's not drying?

Mar 6, 2015

Les N.

MAC pro longwear concealer
NARS radiant creamy concealer
Lancome effacernes undereye concealer
Dermablend

Mac pro longwear can be a little drying, I'd try nars radiant creamy concealer. I don't know if I'd try a concealer on top of it because it might look a bit cakey, so maybe try setting it with a regular powder.

I don't really have any good concealers to recommend but I just wanted to say you have some really nice eyes, a very unique color!

There's not much I can say about neutralizing discoloration that Jacqueline H. hasn't already (totally geeking out over all the science you included there) but a caveat about the Bobbi Brown concealer kit: it is very thick and creases easily. If applied really well it can look good, but it takes a bit more work than something with a lighter consistency.

I think the Maybelline yellow corrector topped with their fit me concealer would be a winning combo for your dark circles. Mine need a orangy corrector.

Oh I hadn't seen Jacquelines post my phone is being wonky. I was speaking from my experience covering my moms dark circles but Jacqueline knows way more than I do about the subject...obviously lol. I would definitely take her advice:)

Jacqueline, that was the most amazing in-depth description of undereye circles I've ever seen lol, I need to plaster that all over the walls at work. I'm curious though..where would I find a coral corrector and which would you recommend?

Perfect, thank you! Excited to try it out! :D.
