They're two different finishes one is sheer the other is full coverage, both have illuminating effects.

I'm surprised sheer matte didn't work with your skin Alex, I have combo skin and it was wonderful both of these foundation's are really nice it really comes down to what your looking for, what product's you use to help the finish.
