Unfortunately, I don't think you can necessarily get rid of them. you have to try to get rid of them before they get bad. I get them all the time and I know the pain and hassle. just try numbing it so you can talk and eat. I use campho phenique [ something like that ] or orasol

it helps so much.
I usually just gargle it then gargle mouthwash & that helps TONS
After I do that it is gone in two days.
