Daily Topic Idea...?

I have an idea! What if we started a daily or weekly topic where someone posted a picture for style, hair, or makeup inspiration and we all tried to recreate it putting our own personal spin on it. Just a thought but I think it would be really cool to see. (I wasn't sure what category to put this in)

Yeah thats a cool idea and I think its been done before. The only thing that sucks is that the threads get pushed down and sometimes we can't find them. I would LOVE that. Like a weekly recreation type thing. It would be really cool if it could be like the first on the topic list like the beautylish annoucements so that a lot of people can get involved. Nice idea Fayceofthedoll. I'd definitely participate!!

We've had a few Beautylish members do this before in the last 2 years. It really just comes down to people actually doing it and keeping it on just one thread versus 100 threads of the same thing which was very overwhelming and pushed so many threads into the mist. Then other members were getting upset that their threads weren't being answered.

I agree with Alma, and I believe you'd have to talk to Alicia about this idea, as moderators that falls slightly beyond the realm of our responsibilities. You are, of course, always welcome to simply make threads of this nature, and I think it would be lovely to see what everyone does with the same inspiration picture. Might I suggest posting suggestions for the next day? I.e. "Here's the suggested inspiration for tomorrow's look, feel free to post your version here." Everyone who comments on it or follows will be able to see it in their "followed" topics should it no longer be visible on the front page, so it won't get lost. I also agree that the real issue is keeping it all in one place, but if everyone posts on the same thread that shouldn't be an issue.

I agree if there's a bunch of post going around it will be overwhelming. I didn't know it was tested out before but maybe we can try again and keep it all on one thread. How exactly would I be able to speak to Alicia about this?
