Is Makeup Geek worth the 70ish dollars I might spend on the 9 shadow starter kit and a z palette?
Or should I go with 10 supershock shadows from Colourpop for 50 dollars?
hmmm

I personally like MUG. The starter kit is a great building block in which to anchor more colorful shades (nothing better than an awesome crease shade...which in the MUG starter kit has more than one great crease shade). It is truly dependent on what you are trying to build up within your own collection. Are you heavy on the neutrals and looking to add some more colorful shades to balance it all out or is it the opposite...needing to amp up on the more basic shades?

Jayda...I see that you posted in beauty. I'm going to move it over to makeup in hopes that it will receive more views from other beauties.

I say get mug, I've never tried colour pop.. But I own a lot of makeup geeks shadows and love everyone! Amazing quality and super bendable! If you'd like any swatches let me know :D.

I bought some color pop eyeshadows recently and I'm wishing I just got the MUG eyeshadows instead. The color pop is a bit harder to work with since they are more of a cream to powder. They also are horrible to line the eyes because a liner brush will cause crumbles and fall out. I think they are great if you want to put a pop of color or shimmer. But other than that, I'm not seeing myself much using them.

Yeah, I do love the colourpop shadows but they just don't work with brushes. Unless you apply them with your finger and blend it out with a brush. Which is kinda messy sometimes. And a lot of the art in makeup is in the application and the use of different brushes.
Butttttt...I just made an order from both sites. lol. I'm such an addict :( I'm going to be broke. HELP.
