So a level 6 isn't brown, it's dark blonde. The reason it's orange is because in order to make brown you need red and blue tonalities and since blonde has no tonality, it turns green or orange. To go darker than 2 shades you need to first fill in the color with a lighter color. And a conditioning mask will not help the porosity of the hair. You need to use a protein treatment like aphogee. If you don't have the protein the color will wash right out. After doing the treatment apply a level 5N or 5A to cut the yellow
