Sea salt spray on damp hair, and then use the diffuser attachment on your blow dryer, and just like, scrunch your hair up and set it on top of it, and just keep doing a sort of bounce method til it's how you want it. It's hard to explain without a picture, sorry lol

I totally killed my hair last year with that Not Your Mother's stuff. It just gave me too much texture and I wound up with split ends. You can get the effect of beachwaves without a salt/texture/curl spray. I section my hair, spray each section with heat protection, twist each section with my fingers before curling it with my wand which is a big barrel, then hair spray and comb through with my fingers or a loose toothed comb. I add a little Got2be powderful (or dry shampoo) to my roots to give my hair a bit of lift at the crown. Not beachy, but it just looks nice I think. The nice thing about this is that I can keep it a few days, sleep on it and it's fine until I wash my hair.

I like to wash my hair and put it in a braid when it's wet, then sleep with it. In the morning I take out the braid and add a few extra curls.
