Does anybody know if you're supposed to exfoliate before or after you wash your face with a cleanser? Google isn't helping haha.

I've heard it's after you cleanse. You don't want to be moving around all the bacteria on your face.

I think it's an opinionated thing. It's not a rule that you have to do it before or after.. it's whatever you want. People have different ways to doing things.

This is the way I do it. I use a face wash to get rid of the makeup, then I exfoliate , and finish with my cleanser. I think its better to exfoliate before bc I feel lije if you do it after youll be removing the cleanser and there wouldn't be a point in cleansing haha but thats just me what I think (x

I've read and learned that it goes cleanse, exfoliate / mask (which ever you're doing that day), serum treatments, moisturize.
If you're already wearing makeup, then it would make sense to cleanse first, so I usually follow the rule even if I'm bare faced.

- makeup remover
- cleanser
- exfoliate
- face mask
- serum
- moisturizer
