My cheer team is required to wear a specific lip color and lip glitter the combination of glitter lipstick and glue really dries out my lips, what can I put under the lipstick to protect my lips? Will lip primer help?

I loooove the rosebud salve, it helps keeps them moisturized and can be applied to other parts of your body too! It's my personal favorite. I would put it on and leave it to soak and work about 15 minutes before you apply any other lip product:) it's about 6 dollars at urban outfitters or sephora:)

I definitely think a lip primer would help you out and also making sure your lips are nice and hydrated by drinking water and applying Chapstick.☺️

I like to use a sugar and honey lip scrub before I apply it then a good Chapstick :) the honey makes your lips so soft and the sugar helps exfoliate. Just be very very gentle.

Burts bees definitely. I personally wouldn't exfoliate before, the moisturizer gets absorbed so much quicker that way.

Chapstick actually has a drying agent in it, that's why I stopped using it. Burts bees is the way to go :)

I love fresh lip treatments they're pricey but worth it. also I know you shouldn't put Vaseline on your lips but in your situation I would try the Vaseline cocoa butter lip balm. it's amazing!

Lip primer definitely makes a difference. I've tried a few different lip balms, and Fresh is amazing but like Shauna S. said-expensive,Nivea lip balm is awesome as well and it's less than 2 dollars!

Kat, I think the mint in Burt's bees is drying as well. My lips have been so much better since I ditched my beloved Burts. (I was totally addicted to it). I agree with Shauna, the Vaseline Lip Therapies are great. The Rosy Lips one is similar to the rosebud salve, I think. So you could do the DIY honey sugar scrub, (maybe the night before) then a balm that will soak in like the lip therapies or rose salve, then apply a primer and then all the lip products. It's going to be brutal, though.
