Just a few weeks ago I started noticing my face looking flakey between my eyebrows and sides of my nose so I thought maybe I needed to exfoliate so I bought a scrub and started using it then I started noticing those dark spots you see underneath my mouth and they were also starting to get flakey.. I always wash my face and moisturize before I do my makeup but now I don't know what is happening.. btw I'm 39 weeks pregnant and some people have told me pregnancy does take a tole on your skin so I don't know if maybe that's the problem.. but if someone has any idea on what I could possibly do please help me I'm desperate right about now to get my skin back..

You might wanna lay off all the exfoliating especially with that sponge because too much exfoliation can dry out your skin, it's happened to me. Just try using a regular gentle face soap like cetaphil or a dove beauty bar and get a really good moisturizer, I use ponds.

I would call up your doctor and just let him/her know what's up. I recommend using a gentle night creme at night and a moisturizer in the morning. What face wash are you using? It may be reacting with your hormones. If it is due to your pregnancy, soon you should be in relief of the worst. Goodluck! Hope all goes well in your last few weeks(:

Thank you ladies. yes I'm going to stop using the sponge and just use a face soap and see if that makes anything better.. I hope after the pregnancy it goes back to normal :/

I'm a little late on this thread. but I would recommend trying a gentle face wash such as ceraVe hydrating cleanser and to use 100% jojoba oil to help with those dry patches.
