I don't know what happened in the last week but my skin is SOOO dry. When I put makeup it looks awful. I tried some vitamin e oil the other day and I broke out with horribly. I'm putting jojoba oil on so my makeup can look decent. Any suggestions would be helpful!!
Natural oils should not break you out as they don't clog pores. You are more likely to breakout from moisturizer with tons of additives in it. I love coconut oil on my skin!
First you have to exfoliate your skin using any type of face scrub then you want to use the Mac studio moisture cream it's a moisturizer for extremely dry skin, and also a treatment that brings your skin back to normal.
virgin coconut oil, I have skin dryer then the desert and this has really helped me, plus its antibacterial, antifungul, and antimicrobial, so it wont break u out.it also has a lot of other great uses but theres just way too many to list. This oil really helped heal my skin quick after I got what looked like chemical burns from using the Aveno youth perfecting moisturizer. :D Another thing that will help ur makeup look good when u have dry skin,is to exfoliate,u can use baking soda and a little warm water just make it into a paste consistancy then gently scrub ur face with the paste, ur skin will feel so smooth afterwards.
The best thing to do for dry skin is to exfoliate, THEN moisturize. You have to get all the dead flakey stuff off right?! The best moisturizer for me is pure shea butter, but it's not for you if you have acne, because it makes acne worse. If you do have acne (not saying you do-just trying to be helpful to everyone who reads) honey is a good moisturizer that won't make acne any worse. I hope this helps! 😊
I had the same problem and nothing was working for me until I tried Clinique moisture surge. My skin stays hydrated all day! It's the best product I've ever used and it soothes my sensitive skin.

Try 'hemp' range from the body shop, doesn't sound great but it works like magic! I swear by it! X

Sleep with a humidifier on and use a heavy moisturizer. CeraVe's cream is a good drugstore option that doesn't cause breakouts.

How much water are you drinking? Try looking at your recent diet and activities. These are usually the major contributors to dryness.

Bobbi Brown face oil works well OVER your makeup. It gives the skin a healthy looking glow & keeps it from looking chalky/dry. Good luck!
