I recently bought the Elf brush cleaner. I've only used it once so far but it did an amazing job at removing my makeup buildup (even in my beauty blender). It was also 3$ at Weis!

I mix olive oil with dish soap, and then swirl it around my hand and rinse under warm water. It works so well, I recently did it and didn't even realize one of my brushes was actually white underneath all that eyeshadow that was on it, lol.

Try 'cinema secrets'----dip it, squeeze it, and wipe it, it dries instantly. also, for monthly maintenance, clarifying shampoo for goat hair, squirrel etc. synthetic brushes are ok with just baby shampoo…make sure you don't dry them standing up or on top of a towel…have them hang over your counter (less chances of getting fungus growing it them…)
-hope this helps.

I just use dawn anti bacterial soap to kill the dirt and germs on my brushes, and then dip it in olive oil to keep the hairs soft and moisturized.
