I've been using all kinds of different brands of the long wear lip color, the kind that dries and comes with a gloss stick. I hate hate hate having to reapply lip color and it's the only thing that lasts all day without budging. But it feels AWFUL. Does anyone have any recommendations for stains or lipsticks that stay put without fading in the middle, or making lips dry and flaky?

The wet n wild ones are really good, honestly it surprised me at how well it stays, it stays better then some of my lipliners without anything on but the lipstick! And they colors are gorgeous.

The sephoras luster matte lippies are good , bought one myself yesterday and it last all day didn't feel sticky at all the only downside is that it fades when you eat but that's about it... Another one I have is the loreal Paris wet stains those last all day love them

Stila, kat von d and sephora luster matte liquid lipsticks are amazing.
also heard the like crime velvetines are great.
I personally think Mac matte lipsticks work very well. Today I ate pho with my Mac lipstick and afterwards I still had it on.
the wet n wild are good for the price but not good for long lasting lip color, always come off when I eat.

I like the OCC lip tars. They work for me personally, I know some other ladies aren't crazy about them.

The sephora lip stains dry matte and are LITERALLY stained, even when I eat or drink only the tiniest will come off you don't have to touch it up!

I've been meaning to try the lip tars, I've heard wonderful things about them! And I ordered one the sephora lip stains, I just got it in the mail today actually! So far I love it, I feel like I'm going to have to take sandpaper to my face to get it off haha it has not budged at ALL.

Limecrime velvetines are my fav. I always prep with eos or chapstick then use liner in my whole lip then lipstick. my lips rarely get dried out from liquid lipsticks. occ lip tars are nice too. too faced melted lipsticks are pretty long wearing as well

Honestly nothing I've used has survived through meals and I've used mostly drug store but also MAC and OCC
But my meals are usually oily so if all you eat are dry food then what you should do is apply blot then reapply heavily

Too faced melted lipstick is a good option, although theu have a limited range of colors. I'm not a fan o KVD's liquid lipsticks because I find them extrey drying and smudges. Another good and affordable option is Revlon Just Bitten Kisseable Lip Stain :) with a better range of colors and finishes.

So I've tried all of the above mentioned lip stains... KVD, Stila, Lime Crime, Sephora, etc.etc. Sephora lip stain does have a staining effect on the lips but it has the least staying power in comparison to the others. The lip stain with the absolute best staying power hands down goes to MUFE. THEY DO NOT COME OFF! I tried one for a day and never had to reapply. In fact, when I was taking it off, I had to seriously scrub hard to get it to come off. I also swatched it on my hand before I applied it and I couldn't get the swatch off to save my life. My bf thought I hadn't washed my hands the entire day cus I still had the same swatch on it all day long. Soap and water did not suffice in removing it.

Melted or Smashbox lipstick seems to be long lasting on me at least
