I'm 15 and I have pretty bad acne. I've tried lots of different cleansers and acne creams and went to the dermatologist. Nothing's working! I really want my acne to be gone! so If anyone has any suggestions or ideas to clear my acne I'd really appreciate it. Thank you.

For my skin: if I use fancy products (clearasel, tea tree oil) I've found just water is best. Also talc is good for making them smaller. Hope I was help.

*if I use fancy products it makes it worse.

When I was 15 I had really bad acne, mostly hormonal. My doctor suggested trying a birth control pill to balance out my hormones and it works. I used to have it really bad on my back and it has cleared up and I also use proactive on my face to keep small breakouts from happening. My face is clear, soft and it really works. Talking to your doctor about trying a birth control pill might be worth a shot, but it isn't for everyone.

^ Birth control really helped mine too. I used to have LOTS now I barely get acne. I also use St. Ives Blemish Control apricot scrub every night in the shower. It helps too, you can find it at target! :)

When I was in high school, I used to use Proactiv and it did wonders for my skin! Now I just use baby shampoo. It sounds weird, but it works amazing. I have really oily skin and the baby shampoo helps prevent oiliness throughout the day, and it takes off makeup without a problem.

Also, like mentioned above, birth control helps as well.

I've had acne since I was 11 (I'm now 25) and about 6 months ago I FINALLY found my holy grail product! Dermadoctor Ain't Misbehaving face cleanser. The one I got is for oily/acne prone skin, but I think there's a version for dry skin too. It's about $30 a bottle, which seems steep, but one bottle lasted me about 4 months. And what's really wonderful, is it's effective enough that I don't have to use anything else. No acne pads or creams or anything.

OK so I've tried everything too, salicylic acid and all that DIDNT work for me, the only thing that worked was sulfur soap! specifically grandpas soap Google it. but the most important thing that helped my acne was argan oil 100% pure. moisturizing is key. this really helped my scars fade too...

I tried all the different types of creams and pills for years and went to the dermatologist and they game me the strongest pill for acne (the side affects sheet was massive) but it was isotretinoin and it worked great as it got rid of the scarring but you have to be very careful with them.

I know I'm late, but I agree with Rose! Retin-A and Minicycline have work really well for me, with limited side effects which is really good!
