I've decided to dye my dark brown hair purple. Do you think I should do it my self or go to a salon? Also, do you think I'll need to bleach my hair?

Yes I would bleach it and to get a more vibrant color with your dark hair. And if you haven't dyed your hair before I would definitely go to a salon because they have more experience.

When you're doing something as dramatic as purple, I would definatly go to a salon to get the exact look you want. I only dye my hair at home if it's touchups or 1-2 tones darker/lighter.

It depends on what salon you go to. Check the website of the place you decide on it will probably be listed by length of hair.

Bleach it first. And my recommendation would be to go to a salon because you want to get it right
