When looking for new products to add to your kits what do you lovely makeup artists look for? Is the ingredients? The hype? The packaging? The actual quality? Longevity throughout the day?
I know some of you come up with your own concoctions too! I think thats amazing.
FOR ME:
When it comes to mascara I look for formula and the shape of the wands. All quality mascara is the same to me to a certain degree but I feel the wand itself adds the magic.

Here's a short response but I didn't want your thread to go unanswered or to feel as though it wasn't being seen.
It really depends on what you're doing with your products. Overall I would say quality, pigmentation and items with no flashback. Mixing mediums are a huge plus for me as I am able to change consistencies and create new textures. I also like to buy items that can be made into palette form to save space and make sure I'm bringing exactly what is needed.
