Hi beauties!
So I'm really interested in details about eyelash extensions and falsies. I've used falsies before so I know those work being they're for daily use if anything. However, I wanted to know what you all think of eyelash extensions and you're experience with them if any? Also, would you prefer falsies or the extensions? I'm looking to invest before school starts because I'm just tired of my short lashes.

Thanks beauties, xoxo.

Well I've never used either but I wouldn't recommended extensions bc my friend had them done awhile ago and when they finally all fell out her actual lashes were completely stripped. So I'm guessing they damage your actual lashes and it's a lot more investing money wise bc you have to keep up with them. I'd stick with falsies if they're a must for you! Good luck

There's a girl named Brittany F on here who is pretty knowledgeable about this topic. Hopefully she comments, if not, I'm sure it wouldn't be too difficult to look for her!

The extensions ripped out all of my moms lashes.
and yes she did go to a good place.
falsies NEVER take off my actual lashes.
If your good at applying falsies your lashes shouldn't come off.(;

And I wear falsies everyday

Darlene, I've heard things like that too but when I researched a lot of it fell into the after care of your lashes kind of like hair extensions, if you don't take care of them right then they'll be bad. So thats why I'm asking.

And thanks Shanae, hopefully she comments!

@ Les Do you just use any lashes for daily use or what do you do? Your makeup in your photos is so good!

Falsies are much more damaging to the lashes. You'll be left with very little weak lashes in the end.
Extensions are great as long as you go to a reputable place. If you go somewhere cheap that's too good to be true, you'll get damaged lashes.

Lash extensions are pricey, but really about the same in the long run. If you buy average lashes that are about 2-5$ a pair, plus 5$+ on glue. Needing about a tube a month if you use it everyday plus mascara, and 5 pairs a week assuming you'd reuse a pair or two. Whereas last extensions you pay initially about 120-160$, then I believe refills are about 30-50$ depending on the place, and depending on your lashes you'd need refills every 1-3 months. But you aren't supposed to wear mascara with them so that's 5-40$ cheaper every 2-3 months. Plus no glue, no lashes so that's at least 30$ a month saved, depending on the lashes you used. And you'd be able to wear your extensions anywhere, swimming, school, work, camping, theme parks, etc. whereas falsies are not going to hold up in water or high winds of things like that.

I've done a lot of research (thanks to Brittany f who lives near me lol) and am getting my lashes done in the next few weeks:)

Wow that's a lot of info Alyx. I mean I guess I wouldnt mind having the extra bit of cash but I like wearing mascara so I don't know how thatd work out well.

Yes I use ardell, flutter lashes, the vegas nay lashes and red cherry (:
and thank you!
I reuse all my lashes.
If you take proper care of them they can last up to three weeks.
and they never rip out my actual lashes because I know how to properly apply them. ☺️

If you look up videos or pictures of girls with extensions, most of them don't wear mascara. It's really not needed when your lashes are full and lush and have a bit of a curl to them. Plus it can damage the lash extensions. But honestly everyone I know with extensions just get up, put on face makeup, maybe some eyeliner and go. Most of them stop wearing eyeshadow too, because you just look super doe eyed and pretty immediately when you wake up without any makeup. So I find a lot of girls start wearing less and less makeup once they get extensions. At least for everyday wear.

Hmm I see what you mean. I think I'm going to try Falsies for a while until I save enough money to get extensions that way I can fairly try both and see which I like better. 😊 but thanks ladies for the advice 💕

I'm glad I have natural long lashes. I only need mascara so when I've attempted to put on falsies they looked way over the top but from what I've heard falsies are better then extentions snd won't ruin your natural lashes.
I've heard from a lot of ladies the extensions make them loose their lashes after so I wouldn't risk it if I were you

I professionally do eyelash extensions. I honestly prefer extensions, I feel they look better and last longer and who doesn't want that? Lol. it's so nice to wake up and already look put together and have my eyes look so glamorous (I usually go for a glam look for myself but your tech can help you decide what look you prefer) Do you have any other specific questions regarding eyelash extensions? It's great to be cautious and do your research but don't be scared of losing all your lashes, if this happened the place of course wasn't doing it correctly, using the right products and well trained. Do your research, ask a lot of questions to the tech and if you don't feel comfortable don't go through with it! & you can't just decipher how it'll turn out by the price, someone may charge more money & still not do a good job. I used to be obsessed with false lashes but wouldn't go back at this point, I do take times off from getting them based on my busy schedule and the other tech's schedule who does mine, and when I go back to false lashes I realize how different they really look and not in a good way imo. Any questions feel free to ask :)

Aw I hope you're still following this since I'm a little late on the ball here! False lashes are damaging to your natural lashes, absolutely 100% this is a fact and anyone can tell you this. Yes, I still wear them and yes I used to do it daily but I'm not going to lie and tell you it's perfectly okay. The verdict is, they're much too heavy! With the weight of the strip and the large amount of thick lashes attached to it it is too much for every day use and can stunt your natural lash growth as well as cause them to fall out or shed prematurely. They're also not the cleanliness, lashes are perfect for breeding bacteria, and if you re use them over and over you're just encouraging the spread of that bacteria which could lead to way worse. Eyelash extensions are 100% worth it to me if done proper and I encourage you to ask any questions you may have but I'll try and answer some basics. The way lash extensions work is that they isolate your natural lashes and apply a single extension onto each individual lash. With different lengths, widths and curvatures to control they can truly customize a set that will benefit you the most and allow your lashes to thrive and continue to grow healthily, this is lighter than mascara or falsies and if done properly it is absolutely healthier than either option as well. They are waterproof which will allow you to go about your every day life, but Try to only use oil free products around the area as oil weakness the bond of the glue. They are naturally black, and have a natural curl so that is not a concern and you can really just get up and go about your day.
What I think is so extremely important when looking into eyelash extensions is 1. The brand and 2. The tech. I would personally not let any brand beside Xtreme Lash near my eyes, it is one of the best brands in North America and I truly do encourage you to research it, is was developed by a nurse and is all medical grade, which is very important to avoid any sort of reaction around the eyes. Another thing I adore about their brand is their training program, I am comfortable with the majority of their techs because I am certain they have been trained properly and thoroughly and I can trust that they will not pass anyone who is not ready to be near my eyes. They have a directory online where you can find techs near you, and I strongly encourage you to call and ask as many questions as you can to ensure your technician is competent, skilled and educated.

I have had both, I love love love extensions a lot and they in no way stripped or harmed my natural lashes. But they are very expensive so I stick with falsies for everyday. Alyx, though your pricing logic makes sense, it is not accurate for a lot of people. When I had lashes I had to get them filled every other week, not between 1-3 months. Lashes shed way more often than that. (I also took an extension course professionally) and my fills were 80, I wish they were 50! So they can be much more pricey than you are stating. The strip lashes I use last me quite a long time though so it's cheaper for me, plus I hardly use any mascara since I'm using the falsies. I also use cheaper mascara for the same reasons. Hope this helps :)
