Massive hair problem

Whenever I wear my hair loose I find that my curls kind of sag (I don't know how else to describe it). I don't know why this happens and I have tried so many different gels and mousse's that I'm running out of options. The picture is an example of the 'sag' that I mean. I washed my hair last night and I used Nivea diamond volume styling mousse along with the usual products (like leave in conditioner). How can I keep my curls during the day? I hope you can see what I mean...

Next time you get your hair cut, ask for layers. You're curls are weighed down, and getting layers will take out weight, making them "bounce" back up!

My hair is already cut in layers, I had a haircut two months ago.

I agree with Sadie! The weight of your hair from how long it is can cause them to "sag" as you say. Not only that but cut back on the amount of product you use in your hair, all that product can accumulate and weigh the hair down as well so try using smaller amounts (:

I'll try that, thank you Dorothea!

Look up the "ouidad cut." the salon I work at offers them and other Ouidad products and that will make your curls spring right back up.

Thank you for the suggestion Zoey! I just looked it up. Is it also for less tight curls?

My hair really does have the same problem. Try cutting it shorter. Maybe just past your shoulders? The last time I did that I really helped. If you want to stay long, try getting more frequent hair cuts. Hope this helps!

My hair might look longer since my head is slightly tilted to the back. My hair reaches my boobs when it's loose so it's not that long. My hairdresser always tells me that if I cut it too short, I'll get like a Christmas tree effect.

A friend of mine used ouidad products I really recommend it!

You won't get a Christmas tree effect if you cut layers in it, you might have to ask for shorter layers then! :)

Layer your hair girl. Your hair is just like mine, so getting shorter strands of hair and longer ones will make your hair more curly!

I'll definitely find another hairdresser! She told me that she cut my hair in to so many layers to make it more lightweight for the summer but you guys are right, my hair looks like it doesn't have layers at all! I do have to admit, my framing pieces are way shorter (like corner of my mouth length) and those pieces don't even curl. I guess my hair is just really weird...
