The Estée Lauder double wear foundation made my skin way too dry and flaky so I've decided to try something more lightweight and luminous. any reviews on these foundations?

The nars all day luminous is my holy grail! I love it so much! It's very light weight and a medium-full coverage (very build able) it dries in about 3-5 minutes, so you've got to work a bit quick. But it dries semi matte. I just think it's a great foundation, and I don't have to use a lot of it for a good coverage which is good, because then I'm not going through the foundation so quickly! I just love love love it!

I have heard incredible things about the Armani luminous silk foundation. I haven't used it myself, but many of my teachers (when I was studying a diploma of makeup) said they had it in there kit, and that it was their holy grail liquid foundation.

Why don't you get a sample for both?

I love the NARS. But all of the points that Jacqueline made are valid , the only things I would say is that it does apply well with the beauty blender, it lasts a solid 10 hours on me which is good and it is the first foundation I've used that never transfers even if I sweat. The claim to be full coverage in 1 pump honestly isn't that much of a stretch with 1-1.5 pumps you can get full coverage which is why it can look unnatural so easily, if used in moderation is gives a natural flawless coverage and finish

I agree with Jacqueline about the fingers part. I always use a brush when applying foundation. But it looks much better when I apply with my fingers :)
