It looks like excema to me. Try using the Aveeno Excema care lotion or eucerin/aucaphor. That helped me a lot.

Looks like what I have "keratosis Pilaris" Try Gold Bond for rough and bumpy skin. It contains bha and aha to exfoliate the skin. You noticed a difference within a week, using it on a daily basis after shower.

I agree with Joana it looks like keratosis pilaris which I have. When I was younger it would bug me to the fullest and I wouldn't like to show my arms or have anyone touch my arms, I'm still like that sometimes. I just use a loofah sponge and moisturize but try not to scratch it I still have marks from it.

Yesssssss, I agree with Joana and Alma. I use a coffee scrub and my loofah and buff them away, then I use "goldbonds rough and bumpy" lotion and it's like magic.

I'd like to credit google and mayo clinic for that information.

I agree that it is keratosis pilaris (chicken bumps)..I also have this, it's actually very common. I really like to use kp duty scrub by dermadoctor this stuff really helps my bumps to not be so noticeable and rough!

I had this, and I used goat soap on mine and mine is completely gone. Not any sign of them. Also vitamin e cream :)

I agree with Alma (and a lot if you guys) I had/have it too and it made me feel so uncomfortable. I always had quite a low self esteem and that was just another thing to add to my "failure" list.. But you know. The first thing to realise is that, if something constantly bithers you or you feel ashamed if it, people eventually will notice but if you just walk around being confident I garuantee you no one will actually care. Apart from stopping worrying what people thought about me I startet exfoliating my skin while showering and it helped sooo much. It doesn't even matter what body scrub you use I guess. All the best to you.??

KP duty by DermaDoctor scrub and cream is wonderful and effective for KP...aka "Chicken Skin". My concern is...did this just suddenly appear or has this been an ongoung, growing issue?

This is very common. I have it and I'm 35 now - it's way better than it was when I was a teen. I'd use a body wash like neutrogena body clear or something with salicylic acid and then a moisturizer like amlactin or something with alpha hydroxyl acid. Good luck!

I have it and call it arm acne. It does nothing.

I used to have that all the time! It's just acne! You can use scrubs in the shower and such to help get rid of it! FYI it's most likely due to long hair, or at least long enough hair, that runs against your arms leaving residue oils behind, that's what creates the acne.
