I thought my foundation was a perfect match.

I finally thought I found the perfect foundation color but then figured out it was a horrible match. I've tried pink, neutral, and warm undertone foundations and literally nothing matches me! I keep getting told I'm NW15 in Mac but it's too orange for me. I'm beginning to think ill never find anything to match. My neck seems like it's yellow but yellow undertone foundations don't match me. What can I do?

You can go to sephora, Ulta, Mac, Estée Lauder, Lancôme, etc. and ask them to match you! They then can probably give you little samples to take home to try! Then you can see which one you like best. I would also suggest customer fx cover drops, or the sephora foundation w the little dropper! The workers can help you!

Go get professionally matched at a makeup counter. I've always had terrible luck matching because I'm so pale. I had a lady at Ulta match me and she found me a brand/shade the is the perfect match, is in my price range, and that works with my sensitive skin. You may have to try different brands than you're used to but that's a great way to try and find your match!

I agree with the ladies it may take a few extra trips to different counters and hopefully you'll find someone who can help you! You said with the NW15 it was orange.. was this immediately after you put it on your face or after a little while?

I've got shade matched from 3 different makeup artists and they all said NW15 but I guess I can try once more. It was almost immediately.

Is nw 15 Mac? If so, why don't you try something other than Mac?

I would try something else like Julie suggested. I also would try to go and get color matched at Sephora if you can. Or try getting the sample of different colors and brands and try them at home. I always have a pretty difficult time deciding my colors until I get home and out in natural light to see what looks best.

Mac usually runs very pink or very yellow, however there are neutral tones. I'd ask to be placed in one of those if you insist on mac products.

I definitely don't have to wear Mac. I'm all for trying a new foundation, but all the other brands I've tried were orange as well. I'm going to get professionally matched like everyone is saying :)

Have you tried nc15? its the perfect match for me. I was matched to nw20 twice but it was far too dark and orange so I insisted I'd try nc15 and it's the best foundation colour for me.

Haha omg I'm sorry! I don't wear foundation so I thought nw15 was a shade of Mac 😂😂
