Just crush it all up, add 70% alcohol, mix until it's all together, and then press it all firmly back into the compact.

I just fixed one of the shades in my Kat Von d palette I didn't press the napkin down though I just gently dropped it on the counter a few times so it was even on top and and compressed together.
