Hello everybody...

Winter is coming and my lips are already dry and my dry skin hurts. Soon my lips will be chapped. Every year, I exfoliate them and then they are swollen and somettimes they bleed as well... I really feel uncomfortable and ashamed of my red face when I go outside and I almost never see people like me in the street but when I meet some people like me, I really feel better, less lonely and more comfortable with them like if I was closer to them...

Why does it happen to me and what can I do for that?

We don't talk that much about chapped lips but I don't think you're an isolated case. It happens to me too but now I know what I have to do when it's too cold. I think you didn't look it up on google yet because you can find a lot of DIY solutions for chapped lips and dry skin. Then if you don't want chapped lips then you can do something really easy: mix a little bit of sugar with a little bit of honey to make it sticky and rub that gently on your lips with your finger or a toothbrush as you can see it on this link (http://www.wikihow.com/Make-Honey-Lip-Scrub) but I don't add olive oil because I don't like oily things and wash it off with hot water. Before going to bed, put some honey on your lips and they will be really soft when you wake up. Do it during the day too if you can.
I don't know what you use for you face (sensitive and dry skin I guess) but if you use a simple soft moisturizer, that's not enough. It's better to use a SPF 50+ sunscreen. Among all of the sunscreens I tried, I like the Dr. IASO Sun Protection (http://go-iaso.com/products/dr-iaso-sun-protection-spf-50-pa?variant=6436654339), the Age Defense Sunscreen Cream SPF 50+ (http://www.parfumemporium.fr/details.cfm?currency_type=3&ID=49245&source=368&language_type=1#back), the Cocoa Butter Formula which is a little bit greasy though (http://uedata.amazon.com/Palmers-Formula-Eventone-Suncare-Sunscreen/dp/B011DCJI1U) and the Sunscreen Care Oil Spray, a little bit oily and just a SPF 30 one but you also can use for your hair (http://www.clarinsusa.com/en/sunscreen-care-oil-spray-spf-30/C040202042.html). I hope this winter will be less harsh with you :)

If I don't look after my lips even just for a day in winter they become super dry and actually slightly burst open which is really painful. Make sure to always have a chapstick on you and apply it whenever your lips start feeling dry during the day and before you go to bed. I find they really differ in quality and especially the ones that have a colour to them don't seem to work for me at all, while ones with "natural" ingredients really do. The other day I put some coconut oil on my lips which made them so soft, so I'd recommend that too.
Don't worry too much about having a red face when it's cold, I'm pretty sure everyone who I know gets that more or less. I used to be very worried about having red cheeks in winter but I realised that there is nothing wrong with it at all. :) to stop your skin feeling dry, you might want to switch to a different/ richer moisturizer for winter, which one do you currently use and what is your skin type? :)

I suffer from chap lips. Super dead skin and flakey. I don't even wear lipstick. I've exfoliated tried multiple chap sticks high end low end and in between. I recently brought Jack black intense therapy lip balm. and it works super.

I had a chapped lips crisis recently (they bled ahd hurted) and what helped a lot was eos mint. I think the formula is great because it has natural oils and waxes that really help.

ELF makes a lip scrub that cannot be beat! After using the scrub I coconut oil on my lips and when I go outside I use Chapstick to protect against wind.

@Miriam K.
I would highly recommend my favorite moisturizer which is the SKII Brightening Derm Moisturiser (http://www.sk-ii.com/skin-care-products/face-moisturizer/brightening-derm-moisturiser/00737052210032.html). I had one last year for my birthday from my mom because I couldn't afford its price. Nowadays I use the IASO Extra Hydro Cream (http://go-iaso.com/products/iaso-extra-hydro-cream?variant=4244104771) which is the second best moisturizer for me, its rich creamy texture makes my skin well hydrated all day without the oily complexion and it lasts all long day. You should give it a try! :)
