Stripped my box dark brown dye and got red ion dye and it turned out like this. A very nice shade in the light and sun but not as bright as I want. Any suggestions on how to fix it in a couple weeks just to make it less of a dark red??

Nice shirt :-)
If you want it brighter, I'd suggest getting the l'oreal hilift permanent highlights. They have about 3 different shades of red and work SO good! I've gone to super bright red to a darker burgundy with that and developer. Ion didn't work for me either. how long did you leave it on?

How did you dye it this red? Did you lift your hair at all?

The same thing happened to me I went back like two weeks later with a dye a little brighter then I originally intended and it came out like in the middle.

Oh RED! You are made for it!!😍 It's the most hard thing to keep up, but what a knockout color to enjoy, you look really, really good as a redhead! Do you have more attitude now, haha!😜 So fun! I am growing out the last of mine, hidden under brown, and though I'm going back to my "roots", I do miss it! I made a video about this veggie based dye called Special Effects, which is really inexpensive (8-13$ a bottle!) and it's got no ammonia! You can out it in your hair as a consulting color pack, wrap it plastic and sleep in it if you want. It really leaves your heart in better condition than before you started! But of course, what a mess! 😭 I did have to bleach my hair first to open the cuticle, and then I adjusted my color depending on my mood, haha! I had between three and four colors in my cabinet, from warmer to cooler, lighter to darker, more red to more pink, but mostly just used two I liked mixed. The best is to put a quarter sized blob in your regular conditioner and leave it on in the shower to just keep it fresh and bright. Super easy! Here are a few samples of what it looked like, and after I decide to go back it's more of a brown so I didn't really have an awful growing out stage! Here's a video on the dyes, and you can buy them on Amazon! Hope this helps! http://youtu.be/jbclkAU4_C8.

Here it is on Amazon! Special Effects SFX Hair Color Hair Dye Candy Apple Red https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002GDMOGW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awd_3gZuwbA5PJY7B.

You can add a little or a lot to conditioner to adjust how much red you want, and that way you don't have to damage your hair except when you might need bleach to lift your roots.😁 Enjoy your color!!🍓
