I have $120 to spend at ulta. I'm probably going to look for a contour pallet , highlighter and maaaaybe foundation if I have enough but do you have any suggestions. this will be my first purchase of makeup like this.

Definitely check out Too-Faced Born This Way Foundation & Mally Lit from Within Blush/highlighter duo. The blush is pretty, but...gurrrrrrrl), the highlighter is "the bomb"! It will give Champagne Pop a run for its money! Its a choice of either a peach blush or a pink blush, but the highlighter is the same in both.

Highlighter: Definitely Becca! I like the Pressed formula best.

As for foundation, what is your skin type? That makes a big difference...

For contour I've heard Lorac has a nice kit but I don't own it. I would personally go for KVD Shade and Light or Kevyn Accoin, which are at Sephora not Ulta...

For foundation definitely pick up samples before buying a foundation! That way you aren't wasting money on something that might not work for you. I recommend trying Clinique Even Better, Too Faced Born This Way, Estee Lauder Double Wear (not sure if they have that at Ulta though) and Urban Decay Naked.

Marleen I definitely will.
Lisa does ulta do samples I've went in before and a worker told me they didn't.

Yes! To be honest, I hate Ulta for the reason of their employees. They do samples, she/he was lying and just being rude or lazy... I've had some workers try to do that same bs with me before and it makes me so mad. Every time I go in, I leave mad because of how rude they are, I stick to Sephora unless they don't have a product, then I'll drag myself into an Ulta lol. Also as far as samples go (from both Ulta & Sephora) 3 is usually the max they'll give. But Sephora is always much nicer than Ulta about the samples...

Also, although not a makeup product, you should check out the FINGER BRUSH. An amazing brush for thick, long tangle-prone hair. They come in 3 sizes. I first got the large one and my hair & scalp fell in love. So I went back for the small & the medium. One for my purse, bedroom & bathroom. I prefer the large & medium but the small one fits better in my purse (although its still bigger than the average brush). Thank goodness I'm a 'big bag" kinda girl!

Lisa; that's so rude I didn't get anything that day because I couldn't try out a foundation. I'll mostly likely try Sephora first before heading to ulta.
Marleen; Thanks for suggesting a brush I'm actually looking for a good brush and can't go wrong with a big bag I love em too!

I agree with Marleen about the Mally lit duo, I can't believe that isn't talked about more often the highlighter is beautiful. Laura Geller baked gelato swirl illuminator in Ballerina is beautiful as well you can use it wet or dry. :)

@ Alma M...I want to try Ballerina, I was kinda apprehensive because I have a medium, slightly olive skin tone, so I got the Gilded Honey which is beautiful (I bought it online).

I think it would look great on you Marleen. I originally was going to buy gilded honey but truth be told I have so many similar to that shade I went ahead and decided on Ballerina which I'm so happy I did. :)
