I would say that I'm probably "intermediate" at doing my makeup. I'm not really a beginner but I'm definitely not an expert. False lashes are something I have never done, but I want to try! what is a good brand and style for me to try out? I would prefer something natural looking..

L.A. Colors False Eyelashes are very good for beginners! The glue that comes with isn't very easy to apply so I use Revlon Precision Clear Lash Adhesive :) You will have to cut them most likely because many falsies come longer to be able to fit multiple eyeshapes. When you remove them from the package, you should put your finger on the lashes themselves and gently tug them off the sticky packaging instead of pulling them off like a bandaid. And if they feel rather stiff to you, grab both ends of the lash with two hands and bring your hands together to form an upside-down You shape with the lash. That will help it conform to your eyeshape better. Also just apply a thin line of glue, otherwise it'll clump and take forever to dry. With my experience I like to apply the outer part of the lash first and then slowly press it down to conform to my eyeshape. Press them into your lid gently for about 20 seconds and you're done! I hope I helped you some! If you have any other questions about it let me know!

I agree with everything Tessandra said! You could also buy cheap lashes in sets of 5-10 pairs off of eBay just as practice and to see what style works best on you. Half the battle is finding your perfect style!

I have found that not all lashes and even glue are not the same. As far as drugstore brands go I love Ardell (I like the Wispies) and Duo Lash Glue (I like the one with the brush). Another thing to remember is that lashes are not one size fits all, you need to cut them to fit your eyes. I cut mine both length and also width. I would buy some sets off Ebay or Amazon because lashes can be expensive. Lashes are one of those makeup tricks that just take lots of practice and figuring out what works best for you. Another tip that really helped me is bending them around a makeup brush (or even a pen will work) to help curve them better to fit your eye (I'll post a picture if your confused). I also wait a few seconds after applying glue, you want it to be a little tacky rather than just applying the glue and immediately trying to stick them on. One last thing, once I get them on, I take my lash curler and do a fast curl with my real lashes (you won't need much) that way they help blend with my regular lashes so they don't look straight and obvious; after that I take a quick swipe of mascara (barely any! you don't want clumpy lashes) to again, help blend the real and false together. But make sure its a tiny bit! Don't apply it like you normally would without fake lashes on.
