So for christmas all I'm asking for is literally products for my nails, skin & hair but I also wouldn't mind makeup. Any suggestions on which products/brands I should ask for?

For high end I definitely recommend you check out Urban decay, they're pricey but such a great brand!

As for lip products, Too Faced had amazing lipsticks! The melted ones are my favorite!!
