Hi guys,
So recently, I was washing my face when my nose ring (sterling silver from claires, a hoop) twisted inside out, which I thought was no big deal, until I looked closely and I saw that a huge chunk of the ring that stays inside my nose was all rusted and black! This got me horrified because I clean it very well 2x a day with a homemade sea salt solution I make fresh every 2 days. I was extremely disappointed and annoyed that I had not realized sooner.

I got my nose piercing in the beginning of September 2014. I have a sensitive nose. The cartilage on my nose is pretty thick as well, so usually the stick part that goes into y nose has to be pretty long so that the hole can stay open.

What do you guys think would be the best type of metal for me? I want on that won't rust at all, and price doesn't really matter because I'd rather pay a ton for one that will last then pay cheap amounts every month for new ones.

I really need help omg, I need to be informed on what's right for me :(((( So thank you in advance and SORRY FOR THE ESSAY!

Stainless steel does not rust at all, neither does platinum but platinum tends to look duller in appearance over time while stainless steel doesn't. Stainless steel is cheaper than platinum.

Stainless steel is probably the best option if you have sensitive skin. Usually they use stainless steel when you get pierced as well. Try to get jewelry from places that specialise in body jewelry or directly from studios (they usually have them for sale) not from claire's :)

Fanny, thank you! Ill probably just end up going back to the place I got pierced and getting it from there <33333333.

Definitely stainless steel! You can get surgical grade stainless steel from a lot of online retailers for pretty cheap if you don't want to go back to the piercer.
