I'm currently doing hair/makeup in a smaller area and looking to move to Chicago. Does anyone know good ways to find a Makeup Artist looking for an assistant or know of any?! :-)

I am in California so I don't know about in your area, but try Craigslist in services offered. Also see if you can find some make up artists on FB in the area your are looking for and message them if you can. You are going to have to market yourself so be confident. If you are licensed, try some of the salons in the area you are going to move to that offer make up services. Even if you are not, as an assistant, it might not be a requirement. Oh, and don't forget to keep your portfolio handy or on a professional looking page if it is online. Best of luck!
