This may sound so stupid but I never use bronzer because I have no idea how to use it! Is it only used for contouring? and also can anyone recommend a good cool toned bronzer?

A bronzer shouldn't be used for contouring. Bronzer is meant to add a sun kissed glow to the skin, which is why they're (mostly) warm toned. Contouring should be done with a cool toned shade since attempting to create a shadow. Use your bronzer on a big fluffy brush and place it where the sun would naturally hit you, like the tops of your forehead, the cheeks, and the nose (:

Thanks :) one more question... How do I go about this without looking like a Dorito lol.

If the bronzer you're using is too orange toned then you need a different bronzer that isn't so warm/orange (:

Why is it that no one wants an orange bronzer, but most bronzers are orange! Lol!

The orange bronzers have benefits for some skin tones. On my skin tone it translates as red which is my natural shade when I tan naturally. So as Alexis mentioned you need to reach for a bronzer that isn't so warm. And need to look at something with a cool undertone.
