They make special shampoos. I used to get mine at sallys.

They don't sell them in nz :/ tried a few hairdressers as well and they didn't have them either.

If there is a special shampoo, maybe check online like on amazon. If not, all I can say is shampoo more than once if necessary.

A good clarifying shampoo can do the trick too. My personal favorite is the one by live clean. It's like 8$ Canadian.

If you can't find any of these products, you can every few weeks, do an apple cider vinegar rinse. I wouldn't do it to often as it's drying but it can get rid of build up well. :)

Yeah just get a good clarifying shampoo
And make sure you follow up with a moisturizing conditioner so your hair doesn't dry out
Also, if you thoroughly rinse your hair with fresh water ( from shower) the chlorine won't soak into your hair so much

I think I read something about putting conditioner through your hair before you get in the water but I'm not sure if that's true or not? I'll try and find a clarifying shampoo but I think all I've seen are normal ones.

It can but it's messy and can mess up the pool. If you just wet your hair and put in a leave in conditioner, it can help it not absorb the pool water. If you can, swim caps would be the best option.

Check for herbal essence, they have a couple, Loreal has one, and live clean has a couple. Anything that says "clarifying" "purifying " or " deep clean" will be what you want

I work at a pool, so I'd just like to say if you go into a pool with conditioner or any product in your hair, it makes it so we have to add more chlorine because of the extra gunk in there
That's why we ask people to rinse off before going into the pool
So please don't go in with conditioner in your hair
Just rinse it with water so it won't absorb so much pool water
Also with swim caps, if you're going to be swimming under the water a lot it won't keep your hair dry
It'll help it absorb less water because it won't be fully wet and saturated, but it will not keep your hair dry :)
