So I just recently bought the Revlon color stay foundation (liquid). It's the only foundation I can find that actually matches my skin tone. I bought the one for oily/combination skin, which I have. My T zone is very oily and the rest of my face is normal. The first time I tried this foundation out I used a sponge and it looked very cakey, which is not a problem I've ever had with a foundation before. (I moisturize my face every day and usually set my foundation with a powder). I'm going to try applying it with a blending brush today, but does anyone have any tips/hacks to make your foundation look less cakey?

Use a little bit of product at a time and make sure the layers dry/set before applying another layer. Also make sure to really buff the foundation into the skin that way it's fully blended into the skin rather than just sitting on top of it.

Only go back and put the foundation on the spots you need to conceal. So do a layer that you think you need them spot conceal with it!

Another tip is to prime before you put on the foundation because I had this same problem also sometimes the powder is actually the thing making your face look Cakey so I would suggest a translucent powder (which shows up in pictures on flash)

You can mix a little bit of beauty oil which will sheer it out 😊
