Every time I apply liquid foundation and then put on a powder foundation to build it my face ALWAYS ends up looking caked! It looks flaky and not smooth or natural at all.
I tried to switch to a matte liquid foundation and it's the exact same problem :(
Does anyone know how to get rid of this? I want like photo ready / silky smooth makeup but it looks terrible.

Apply thin layers of the liquid foundation and make sure each layer dries/sets before adding another layer. Really buff the foundation into the skin so it's not just sitting on top of it. Make sure your last layer is dry/has set before applying powder. Tap off any excess powder from your brush before putting it to your skin (:

Sometimes it can be the foundation you're using, not necessarily if you're going for a matte look or dewy look. It could be the brand. For me I use the fit me dewy + smooth in the shade toffe & I mix that w the fit me matte in the shade coconut. It gives me a matte but dewy look bc I like to have a look that makes me glow in a way, but yet makes my face look like natural & none cakey. Try a different foundation brand & see if that helps! :)
