So today I'm going to be starting accutane, and not sure how long or what side effects I will have but I'm looking for a really good moisturizer because extremely dry skin seems to be a common one. I have very oily skin now, so I'm not sure how long it will take. I'm hoping to find a good one at the drug store, but I am open to others. Thank you in advance ☺️

Even if you have really oily skin it can dry put your skin in one go. I have extremely oily skin and my treatment after one night made my skin dry and flaky. I don't use Accutane though so I'm not sure

It does dry out your skin a lot, and it's usually used as kind of a "last resort" for acne, because it is pretty intense.

Yes I know. I've tried everything else.

I have incredibly dry flakey skin naturally, but I found this helped a lot. It's the ole henriksen nurture me moisturizer, and that it works like a treatment. It really does. It has a weird bubblegum scent to it, but it was super moisturizing. I would layer it on thick after I washed my face and a few hours later I'd feel super hydrated.
But after I ran out of that, broke me decided to stop buying 20$ moisturizers that don't work enough, and try jojoba oil and sweet almond oil. It's completely changed my life and I've only been using it for a couple weeks, but my skin is no longer thirsty dry and I don't get as flakey, the only place I get flakey is the sides of my nose and it's hardly noticeable now. But it's done more than any hydrating mask has ever done weekly, in one use. I'd definitely recommend checking them out. Jojoba is good for acne prone skin too, since it is the closest oil to the skins sebum, which is the oil it produces.
