Oh wow that looks terrifying...in a good way
Lol
I have no experience with this form of makeup but I thing you could make it more realistic by adding a bit of dark blue/purple color to the black
just a thought :)

I would add some purples and reds within the black to give it some depth and maybe some fake blood so it looks fresh. Otherwise you did a fantastic job! :) Xx

I'd add some bruising around the outside and maybe make a blood colour (black and red face paint mixed) and make it look drippy and wet, fresh looking, I did a bullet wound a while back and although I didn't do bruising I made it drip down my face so it looked like I actually bled.

So, as someone who has seen firsthand many bullet wounds, let me share my thoughts on appearance. Take it for what you will.
There are many different kinds of bullets, for starters. Size also varies, and to my knowledge 9mm was the most common, but I don't know what it is now. Also, many bullets will create an entrance and exit wound. For most, the entrance wound is relatively clean and has less blood. The skin is normally not super damaged around the edges, aside from being a hole... Does that make sense? The exit wound, however, can vary. For a hollow point wound, the bullet opens essentially on impact. So this causes the bullet to grab onto things, in the body it is tissues and muscles, etc.. It will pull what it grabs with it to or out of the exit wound.. When it leaves the body, if it does, the skin is destroyed. It is a little more torn up and the hole is larger than the neat entrance wound, almost twice the size.

I would post a picture, but I feel it would be too gross.. And it's firsthand.
