I want to know how much foundation to wear when you first start wearing it?

Depends what coverage the foundation you'll be wearing has.

I tend to go for the more full coverage foundations because you can always use less for a more light coverage. And when you use a light to medium coverage foundation you have to layer the foundation to obtain the edited coverage when a full coverage foundation takes only one application

I usually use full coverage and about a pea size amount is usually good for my whole face.

Just start out with a small amount and you can build it up from there.
