When I have a dark lip I tend to go for a simpler eye. with a wing liner and big lashes. I usually do a sweep of pale cram on the lip and a slight grey in the crease.

Oh and my review on them I love them. they are super pigment and very creamy. I know when I do wanna go matte in the winter but my lips are dry I reach for the one that I have because it's not so drying. it does take a while for it to dry matte though.

I just bought my first the other day as well! lol I got a pink color I don't remember shat its called but I absolutely loved it! the formula, the color payoff and the feel of it is just perfect. I can't wait to buy more.

I have Monte Carlo, it's very pretty just be sure to exfoliate your lips before hand because the product will clutter in areas of dryness. I want the color you have Alexis I do have a few lipsticks similar to that color to like Revlon Black Cherry, City Color Francesca, wet n wild cherry bomb and revlon VA VA Violet which is a hint of purple. I also have LA girl matte in backstage. Can't wait to get transylvania, thanks for sharing.:)

I have the same one- it is such a gorgeous color and the wand allows for easy application, but it honestly fades soooo quickly. And not in a graceful way, it goes patchy plus it's drying. It leaves a ring of color around my lips, and it settles into the lines of my lips. It needs to be reapplied about every hour.

I agree with Molly, but honestly I love them and this happens more so with my darker colored soft matte lip creams. It's going to look so nice on you! (: Recently I've been wearing it with simple eyes, or a deep purple smokey eye.

I love layering matte lip creams with a dab of the NYX butter gloss in the center of my lips and blend it out! Kinda defeats the purpose of mattes LOL but I like layering :-)

I love these!! I find the darker colors to be a bit streaky, but if you line and fill in your lips with liner then it's not as obvious. with dark colors I like to keep it simple. bare eyelids and lots of mascarra. I really like macs plumfoolery blush with dark lips and a slight hilite.

I wear the NYC simply vamp lip cream in 06 underneath, blot once and then apply Transylvania. This usually last me all night and if it starts to wear away in the inner lips, you have a back up dark shade underneath.

I have two lighter shades and I love them. I use lip balm underneath so that it doesn't dry up weirdly, which it doesn't really do anyway. I love that color! I'm sure it'll be super pretty.

I love these lip creams but I suggest using your own lip brush. It's almost a mouse like texture so the wand makes it squish every where lol
