I'm getting a tattoo next week and plan on getting this one. I wanted your opinions on wether you think the tattooist could make the tattoo a lot smaller than in the picture. I'd be prepared to lose some detail to compensate for size and I've know idea where to get it so placement ideas would be a big help. Thanks in advance :)

Ofcourse they can make it smaller, they should be able to do what you ask for, whether it's adding more detail, removing detail, making it bigger or smaller! Just make sure to tell them exactly how you want, and be comfortable with the final result! Because it's going to be on your body permanently, and plus your paying for it lol :) best of luck!

They can definitely make it smaller, but you will lose a lot of the fine detailing. Especially in the mandala, those are typically the size you see in the picture, or larger. On a smaller scale, it's going to look like a flower, not a mandala. If that's okay with you, go for it!

Yes just like the ladies above said, it can be made smaller at the price of detailing. Also, a great tattoo artist will only take inspiration from this & not use the exact photo.

A good tattoo artist should be able to work with their client! it can be smaller of course, and still have good colour and detail I think! I personally think that size is great too though.

I love that tattoo! :) Like the others said it can be made smaller, definitely. I personally would have that somewhere on my lower arm, wrist or near the crease of the elbow :)

They'll definitely be able to make it smaller. Just make sure you research your tattoo artist before going to them. While tattoo artists are trained to do most kinds of tattoos, many of them specialize in one kind. Your tattoo shouldn't be very difficult, but it's always good to know that your tattoo artist is confident. I love where it is in the picture, but if it's your first tattoo then you might want to get it in a different area. Ribs are one of the most sensitive spots. Some areas where this would look good that you wouldn't really be able to see it without a mirror are: Shoulder, Ribs, Lower back to one side, Calf, Neck (if you're getting it very small), behind the ear, Under the breast, etc. Some places where you'd be able to see it better are: Top of the foot, Wrist, Upper part of your arm (like a partial sleeve), On your inner upper arm (the inner part closer to your armpit), Collarbone/Chest, Thighs, Hip, etc. I hope I helped you some! By the way I personally think the top of your foot, your thigh, your neck, your shoulder blade, and your rib area would be beautiful placements! :) Xx
