Pretty straight forward question. I see so many pretty colors in my drawer that I get a little overwhelmed with the decision!
Do ya'll go by what looks good with makeup/clothes/skin tone/whatever? Or do ya'll just go with whatever looks the prettiest that day?
It's sad, but I usually just go with whatever I find in my purse/van/truck at any given time :/

Sometimes I try to pick something that'll complement my eye makeup and outfit, and sometimes I just reach into my lipstick box and go with whatever I pull out. I have some go-to neutral lip colors that go with anything, so if I'm at a total loss, I'll go with one of those. And I always carry a few backup colors with me because I have a tendency to like switching up my lips throughout the day.

Almost all my lippies are neutral nudes or pinks that are semi sheer creamy so as much they all so very different to me...it really doesn't matter because they look EXACTLY the same to everyome else. Lol. I must have 500 variations of the cream semi sheer nudey pink gloss. It's sad. I have about 10 red lipsticks and I will put one on and head out the door but as soon as I get to the parking lot at work Iose my nerve and take it off in my car and go back to my nude gloss.

Marcy: omg that's pretty much my situation :) about ten variations of a bright pink. put on anything dark or red though? off before I even hit the end of the driveway lol.

Kristi, it depends on what I'm doing. If I'm just at school and running errands, I touch up once or twice a day, and I might switch my color instead of touching up what I've got on. When I'm at work, I have to touch up at least every 2 hours because I work retail and I'm constantly talking which means my lip colors can fade pretty fast. I touch up when I can get to a mirror (we've got them all over the store) and when I take my breaks or lunch I'll do a "full" touch up (completely remove and reapply) or I'll switch. My coworkers think I'm obsessive, I just think I'm committed :)

Aw man sometimes I have that problem too! I am a lip color addict. Usually I'll choose the type of lip thang based on what I'm doing that day (glossy or sheer for work, bold matte for school, indelible for boyfriend ;]) and then find a hue that complements my eye makeup and outfit.

If I'm going out like to a party or somewhere special I wear lipstick to compliment my outfit and my makeup...if I'm going out on a day to day basis like shopping or uni I wear lipgloss to give a natural look and shine as well

I wear tinted glosses since its not to heavy like lipstick. For my light splash of red I use TokiDoki's lip gloss (they no longer sell it at Sephora)
